| ROBERT M. YOUNG Principal, FG Companies Prior to forming FG Companies, LLC in March 2007, Mr. Young was a Vice President of Metris Companies, Inc. (“Metris”), an issuer of general purpose credit cards. Mr. Young was an executive at Metris from 1996 through to its sale to HSBC in 2006. At Metris, Mr. Young worked across several business lines, including credit risk management, marketing, customer service and credit operations. Most recently, Mr. Young was directly responsible for developing and establishing Metris’ overall credit underwriting policies and risk management policies. In this capacity Mr. Young oversaw all components of credit policy for new customers including. list selection, application processing, approve/decline logic and line assignment. In addition Mr. Young maintained responsibility for ongoing risk mgmt including re-pricing, annual fee management and other account actions. In addition to policy oversight, Mr. Young managed the relationships with the three national credit bureaus, Fair Isaac Corporation, and other key vendors. Mr. Young was also a central in representing Metris in discussions with the regulators of its bank and Metris’ financial partners, including key investors, analysts and rating agencies. Mr. Young was also integral in the development and management of the company’s data analysis platform which was employed to support all underwriting, compliance and financial reporting. Mr. Young served on several management committees, including Credit Policy, Compliance, Asset and Liability (ALCO), Information Technology Steering Committee, and the Asset Securitization Committee. Prior to Metris, Mr. Young was a credit analyst at First National Bank of Omaha where he served in a variety of credit management and underwriting roles. Mr. Young also has extensive experience in the auto finance environment having worked with several regional auto finance companies that employed the by-here-pay-here lending model. Mr. Young attended Creighton University and the University of Phoenix from where he holds a BSB degree in Finance. |
