| DANIEL J. PILLEMER Managing Principal, FG Companies Prior to forming FG Companies, LLC in March 2007, Mr. Pillemer worked in several businesses across Goldman Sachs, a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm that provides a wide range of services worldwide to a substantial and diversified customer base that includes corporations, financial institutions, governments and high net-worth individuals. In 2006, Mr. Pillemer was named as co-head of the Asset Investing business within the Special Situations Group, jointly responsible for an investment portfolio with a book value in excess of $1.6 billion. The Asset Investing business invests Goldman Sachs capital in portfolios of assets (and the companies that originate or service those assets) spanning the consumer finance, commercial finance, equipment leasing, commercial real estate, aircraft and transportation industries. From 2003 to 2006, Mr. Pillemer was responsible for building the Consumer Finance investing practice within the Special Situations Group. Over that period, the Consumer Finance practice purchased numerous portfolios of receivables, executed asset-based and corporate financings, and made several platform private equity investments. These investments were made across the consumer finance industry, including general purpose and private label credit cards, auto loans and leases, RV and marine loans, manufactured housing loans, student loans, and other consumer asset classes. From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Pillemer worked in the Advisory Group of the Fixed Income Division of Goldman Sachs, focusing on providing advisory services to banks and consumer finance companies on mergers and acquisitions, disposals of non-core businesses, asset portfolio sales, bank debt placements, and asset-backed securitization transactions. From 2000 to 2001, Mr. Pillemer worked in GSVentures, the venture capital arm of Goldman Sachs focused on start-up and early stage companies in the financial services and technology industries. Mr. Pillemer joined Goldman Sachs in Sydney, Australia in 1999 as a generalist in the Investment Banking Division, focused on cross-border merger & acquisition transactions across the retail, financial services, technology and consumer products industries. Mr. Pillemer has served on the boards of several consumer finance companies. He holds Series 24 (General Securities Principal), Series 27 (Financial and Operations Principal), Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 79 (Investment Banking Representative), and Series 63 (Securities Sales Agent) licenses from FINRA. Mr. Pillemer holds a BSc(Hons) in Pure Mathematics from the University of New South Wales, Australia. |
